Delivery Policy

Throttle and Thread is a small family run business that values people. Below is some information about how we run our business and what you can expect when making a purchase.

This information does not replace any human interaction on our part, so please feel free to contact us if you want to talk about any aspect of your order or if you are unsure of the process.

Processing times: Since Throttle and Thread offers personalised gifts, we ask customers to be aware that there is a processing time that we need in order to make your item.

Typically we advise that personalised items take 2-3 days to process. We always aim to get your items processed sooner but we will never sacrifice quality over speed. Please bear this in mind when purchasing an item.

Next day delivery applies to the speed at which the item is shipped by the courier and does not include processing time. However, if you do choose next day delivery your order will be prioritised as best we can to ensure you get your item quickly.

Shipping: All of our items no matter how large are shipped free as standard.

Items that are able to fit through a letterbox are typically posted via Royal Mail. They are sent 1st class and will not have tracking provided.

Items that are classed as parcels are shipped via Hermes and will have a tracking number. This number will be sent upon dispatch and you will be able to track your item delivery time.

We regularly check the status of postal services and if there is a better option that will enable safe and efficient delivery then we may at times use other companies.

NEXT DAY DELIVERY: We offer an option to upgrade to next day delivery. This is a flat-rate fee of £4.50 for all items. No matter how many items you purchase, we will only add this charge once. Next day delivery is completely optional.

We use Hermes next day delivery. Items will be dropped off before 12noon for next day delivery as requested on their shipping advice.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns: We strive to make our customers happy and we want you to love your items, but we know that from time to time things can go wrong. We only offer returns on damaged and defective items. Because many of our items are personalised we ask that you are happy with your chosen item before committing to your purchase. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us and we are always happy to send you a digital ‘proof’ of what your item will look like. If for any reason your need to return an item please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will ask that items are sent back within 30 days of delivery. Conditions of return: As we only accept returns on damaged and defective items, we ask that you contact us to arrange a return of your item. Cancellations:We do not routinely offer cancellations of orders because of the personalised nature of our products. If for any reason you need to cancel your order we ask that you contact us to see if we have processed your order and if a cancellation can be made. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order.
